Memorial Day 2010

So this year we had a very busy weekend. Friday night we celebrated a friend's birthday party with a BBQ. We ate outside, played games and talked until midnight. It was so satisfying! Everyone there had babies except for us (she is still cooking inside.lol). It is so great to have friends at the same stage in life, and that want the same things.
We spent Saturday afternoon at church softball, and then finished up the day at the pool. I could swim everyday if given the chance. I love nothing more than floating around in the water on a warm summer day.
Sunday we had church, choir and family dinner at the Boswell's. I love it when family gets together.
Then yesterday we went to Chic-fil-A to get our free spicy sandwich (and it was super delicious!) then we grabbed a few groceries, came home and spent the day working on the house getting it ready for the baby. We were going to go to a party yesterday, but when you are finally getting things done, it is hard to leave. We cooked out in the afternoon and Blake made yummy burgers, corn on the cob, and we finished it off with watermelon. yumm. He is getting to be a pro at grilling! It was a sweet weekend. The happiness was tangible, it hung in the air just like the humidity, and everyone that breathed it in knew it. I can only imagine how much more special it will be next year with our little bundle of joy.
