Weebles Wobble, but they don't fall down!
So today we went for our ultrasound to see little baby Isabella...yea! So we went back after 30 minutes of waiting, and I was stoked about getting to see her again. She was so much bigger than I remember, and the technician was commenting on what a wiggle worm she is. She was positioned transverse (which I am not worried about since we still have a while until full term) and she was just a moving around. The technician started doing measurements of her heartbeats, and body size, and fluid, and then as she is measuring her head she says the cursed words "Wow, she has a generous sized head." I think to myself..... "Is that a nice way of saying 'Wow! Your kid has a huge head sucks to be you!" hmmmm. But I decide to let it go, and wait to talk to the doctor about the results. Well we finish up and I head to the waiting room and get ready for my Dr's appt. The lady comes to get me and we do the usual song and dance; weigh in (i gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks! Are you sure?), blood pressure (110 over 68! Perfect!) and then head into the room. When the doctor comes in we go over the measurements from the ultrasound. She says everything looks great and that my fluids are awesome. Then I ask her a question.... "So she's not like gigantic or anything right?!" (there was a slight hint of panic in my voice) and she responds by saying "Nope. She looks great she is in about the 45 percentile in everything." To which I respond "Oh, well that's great! So she doesn't have a huge head or anything?" Then I hear her go "Hmm. Well actually her body is in the 45th percentile, but it looks like her head is in the 94th percentile." I am thinking "what?! Holy Moses!" Can you believe that the child has such a huge head?! I looked at Blake and I said "I blame you." and chuckled a nervous little laugh. Evidently he thinks it is hilarious, he was smiling and I said that if he was so proud of himself then he could deliver the baby. argh. Needless to say, I always knew that with his head our children were bound to be weeble wobbles. I hope they have strong neck muscles to hold up all of that cranium! All I know is that with a head that big, she better be really smart. lol.
