So my husband and I just got back into town. About once a month we go an overnight trip for his work. It is really a nice breather to go and stay a night away from home together and pretend that it is a mini-vacation. The only problem is that we are such homebodies that we always miss things from home when we are away. I shouldn't complain, but I will anyway.
Things I Don't Like About Hotels
1. You always feel like you are cheating on your own bed with a cheap imitation.
2. You never really know if the sheets are clean...
3. You can find other people's hair.ewww.
4. The air conditioners never work right. Either you are always hot, they freeze you out, or they are noisy old dinosaurs.
5. In my old age I have to many products to pack to only stay for one night. Whew!
6. I've seen too many Dateline specials about how dirty hotel rooms really are. I just never get too comfortable.
7. Breakfast is only served from 6:00am -9:00am. What? It is a hotel. I want to relax and sleep in and then enjoy my breakfast. No one wants to eat at 6:30 in the morning. grrr.
8. There are so many towels, but they are all tiny. I would settle for fewer in numbers, but bigger in size. They are so frustrating. I use like three to dry off.
9. Water always tastes funny in other states.
Anyway. I am sure that there are more. But that pretty much sums it up for right now. Other than enduring the subtleties of hotel living, it was great. I love spending time on road trips with my hubbie. And lately it is the only time that we get out of the state. So yea!
