Tooth Troubles!

So since last Friday, I have had really bad tooth troubles! I had such a pain in my mouth that I made an emergency appointment for the dentist this week (you know it is bad when I am begging to get an appointment in the chair of torture). At the dentist office I told them about all of the nerve pain I have been having, because it is not just my teeth, it is my whole jaw on either side that hurts. (oddly enough the pain jumps from the left to right side for no apparent reason, which I guess is a good thing so that each side gets a reprieve from the torture. lol) While in the chair, they took a few x-rays (after having me don two leaded aprons over the baby....just to be sure. and it is always a little scary to do any activity that requires two leaded vests for safety. I don't know how police can willingly take a job where they have to wear a bullet proof vest to work everyday. You know your job is dangerous when you have to wear a bullet proof vest and strap a gun to your hip. So, thank goodness for the people that do it!) After the x-rays they promptly told me that there was nothing they could do for me, and that I would have to see an oral surgeon. They think that the pain is from my wisdom teeth on the top, and maybe an infection. So they prescribed me some antibiotics, gave me a referral and sent me on my way. It always stinks when you are in pain and they can't do anything for you. argh. needless to say, since I have been on the antibiotics for the last few days, I have been felling better. I still have pain in my jaw(especially at night) but it is much more bearable, and I have not taken any tylenol yet today. Thank God that I have a high pain tolerance! (Although as we write I am contemplating running upstairs and taking the tylenol before my pain gets any worse.) I am worried because I want to take good care of my mouth, and especially the baby. I love her and want her to be okay. Let's hope that everything works out okay.
