Stop and smell the roses (or christmas trees since it is December)

Well the crafting marathon is in full swing here at our house. I am in the midst of making things for friends and family. Life keeps changing at a steady pace around here. Blake was laid off, he just finished his first semester back at school, our friends moved away yesterday, and everyone else is heading back to Utah in a few days. I feel like we are holding down the fort here in Athens. Blake has a new calling that requires a lot of his time on Sundays and that inevitably means that I have been taming the herd of Sunbeams alone on a pretty constant basis lately. It is a monumental task that has left me exhausted at the end of every Sunday. If I can just make it through one more week then I will move into a new class next year with just 2 sunbeams. craziness is the theme of the month. Last thursday I had a tooth pulled, tomorrow I am going walking with a friend, and then Thursday I am going to the aquarium. I think that the baby will loooove that!! Next week I get another tooth pulled. Yikes! It should be interesting here.
Sorry that the blog is neglected. Be sure that it is not the only thing that has been getting neglected lately. The house is a mess and I need some serious pampering. There is no rest for the weary (and especially the poor.) It has been really great through out all of the hectic and crazy happenings. We have felt especially loved and blessed and cared for. We feel a new gratitude for things, and we are learning to rely more on each other as a family. It is a beautiful mess that we live in. I need to stop and savor the deliciousness of our life. Perhaps I can work on rearranging priorities and crafting a better handle on the situation while I craft the gifts. Kill two birds with one stone. Time to create order to strengthen the love that is blossoming.
