'Cause poor people have to be crafty.

So this year we made quite a few crafts for Christmas, which is nor unusual. We do this every year at Christmas. We have a lot of loved ones that we want to share gifts with at Christmas, and that is a bit of a problem on limited funds. So I have decided that the price of being poor is hard work. We make our own food instead of eating out, we scour the thrift store for things instead of running out and picking it out, and we craft our gifts instead of buying them from the store. Whew. Crafting does not seem a chore around here, in fact sometimes I think that it helps me keep my sanity. If only the messes from crafting could clean themselves up. Let's look at a few projects that I made. The picture is a little dark, but this is a baby smock that I made for a sweet little one.
Here are some stone coasters that I made for my mother in law.
Pecan waffle mix for the men folk
Reindeer sodas. And there was much more that I forgot to capture in pics. We made a couple of signs for the wall, some rustic noel blocks, redneck wineglasses and more. It was a pretty great year. We were totally spoiled and we had a ton of fun hanging out with family. I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas.
